    @Pamela Sorensen_2

    His name is Niels Peter Peder Christiansen, born 6 April and christened 4 May 1851.

    His mother is fruentimmer (a disparaging term for a woman) Ane Cathrine Pedersdatter 28 years old of Meilbye (Mejlby). She claims that the father is bachelor Peder Christian Nielsen (who is) currently in the King's service.

    The witnesses are Thøger Sørensen's servant girl Sophie Andersdatter, cottager Christen Olesen's widow's daughter Birthe Christensdatter; cottager Jens Snedker, mason Rasmus Pedersen and cottager Jens Sørensen all of Meilbye.

    The next-to-last column refers to the page in the "Jævnførelses register = comparing index" where this birth was recorded. I looked and there is no additional information in that record-it just refers back to your birth record.

    The last column says he is "uægte - illegitimate".

    fruentimmer (a disparaging term for a woman)

    Depends on time period; here most likely in the meaning of unmarried mother
