Assistance on how to research my ancestors who may have immigrated to Brazil

New to community, apologies if I am posting in the wrong place, but someone suggested I post here.

Heinrich Lange ( M2K8-9TX ) and Agnes Maag ( K8V3-SBW ), appear to have immigrated to Brazil in 1846. I have not researched Brazil specifically, but I am fairly experienced with doing searches, and have not found any records that could match up with them or the 3 children that would have been with them.

With that said, a distant cousin who lives in Brazil descends from one of the 3 children. Unfortunately his research has been all done with physical books and records, and not much online. Wondering if this is due to limitations with available online records, or just his inexperience with online searching? Not judging, I am inexperienced with searching Brazil history, as I just learned of this.

Any guidance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated (regarding how to research, or if I am posting incorrectly). Thanks!

Here is a link to the FamilySearch Wiki page for Brazilian immigration/emigratiaon records. https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Brazil_Emigration_and_Immigration. Sure hope this helps. The Brazil Research page on the Wiki can be found https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Brazil_Genealogy.
