I wish to add my children without including my wife's tree. Is it possible?
I wish to create a shared tree with my Dad's family and add my children without including my wife's tree. Is it possible?

You can add living people to a group from your side of the family but it links to dead people the global tree.
I have created three trees one for my dads first cousins one for my siblings and nieces and nephews and one for my mom's side. I titled the group Descendants of Allen and Delila Williams then everyone who is a descendant of my grandparents is invited to join.

You can delete the relationship between your wife and her (deceased) parents inside of your Family Group Tree. It will not affect her relationship to them in any other Family Group Tree or the FamilySearch Tree. Note also, that when anyone uses the Copy From FamilySearch Tree tool to copy her, it only copies her information and memory links. It doesn't rebuild her relationship to her parents.
If your wife's parents are still living, just don't copy them into your Family Group Tree (or delete them out, if they have already been copied.)
