In riksarkivet under house records for Värmland County records star 1733. Are records available anywhere for this area for later 1600s to early 1700s? Thanks much. Deniese Drake

    @Deniese Drake

    If your question refers to the "husförhörslängder", these were introduced by the church law (kyrkolag) of 1686 and the ordinance (konventikelplakatet) of 1726 respectively, https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Husf%C3%B6rh%C3%B6r .

    The earliest available records depend on the parish. In Värmland län, for example, the records for Eda parish begin in 1696 ( https://sok.riksarkivet.se/kyrkoarkiv?Arkivsok=&Lan=V%C3%A4rmlands+l%C3%A4n&Arkiv=SE%2FVA%2F13091&Serie=0&PageSize=100 ), but for most parishes the records begin in the 1700s. Birth/baptism records (Födelse- och dopböcker) mostly start earlier, in the late 1600s.

    Ulrich, I am specifically looking for records in lungsund. Looking for birth records of siblind born before 1725 and a marriage record about 1705. Deniese

    Yes, Lungsund husförhörslängder begin först in 1733. However, Födelse- och dopböcker, which for these early years include also marriage and death records start already in 1687:
