Sort person list by last name
I would like to be able to sort the person list by last name as this makes it easier to find family members.

Thank you for this idea! You do realize that you can filter by last names by typing the last name in the search box at the top?

Sorting by Last Name is available in other places such as 'Following'. It is a far more natural name sort than by first name when looking at families, so I'm surprised this hasn't been considered. I would also appreciate having the options to sort by Last Name as currently available elsewhere.

I've gone through the options on the Following list and only the list below are not available on the Person List. I note also that the Person list options are the same for Living people both on the Family Search Tree and within Family Group Trees, so any changes should apply to both places.
Not available in Options for Person List: First Name, Last Name, ID Number, Date of Death
First Name is effectively the same as Name so not particularly useful anywhere
Last Name is highly desirable here
ID Number seems rather useless
Date of Death is not applicable for the Person List.
As a side note, the Person List uses the term 'Date Modified' while the Following List uses the term 'Date Changed'. There may be an opportunity to align the terminology while this is being addressed.
