Help needed with confusing records
There is a 1778 birth record AND a 1778 death record AND a 1790 confirmation record for who seems to be the same person—Johann George, father Christian Stoecker. Please look over these records —is there a possibility of twins and given same names? All so very confusing. Are there any words on the birth record that indicate this possibility? Thank you.

confirmation is 1791 (not 1790)

There's nothing in the birth record to indicate twins, and anyway, giving both children the same name would not have been allowed - this was only done when the first child died and the name was recycled for a child born later.
Since the confirmation record specifically states the birth date of the child, one can only assume that the death record is in error. Perhaps the child was very ill but miraculously recovered? Like Mark Twain said, rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated…

very much appreciated.

Or a different son of Christian Stoecker died and the scribe mixed them up?

It's unlikely to be a different son, because the age at death in 1778 corresponds to the birth date in 1778. I think that's why Trish asked about the possibility of twins.
