Is it possible to have an adopted family tree and bio family tree in FamilySearch?
Hello,
I am working with my adopted daughter to build her biological family tree, but in FamilySearch.org it already has connected her to her adopted family tree. Is there a way to create a second, or parallel family tree for her? We have been able to get a lot of names and dates put in to her My Family booklet, but now we want to enter them online and continue researching.
Thank you!

Yes you can add her bio parents and choose “select as preferred” then the info that is attached to the bio parents will show in her tree view. Both of my paternal grandparents were adopted and that is what worked for me

Short Answer: 'Yes', as @X24mom X24mom has already indicated.

You, your adopted Daughter, in fact, anyone, can have as MANY Parents (ie. "Parent-Child" Relationships) as they like.
.
There are a number of DIFFERENT types of "Parent-Child" Relationships, that exist in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch":
- Biological
- Adopted
- Step
- Foster
- Guardianship
.
So, even in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch", one can have a number of DIFFERENT "Parent-Child" Relationships.
.
Here are some "Knowledge Articles" in "FamilySearch" on the matter:
.
How do I specify biological, step, adopted, and foster relationships in Family Tree?
.
The same child shows more than once in a family in Family Tree
.
And, if you make a mistake ... ( as we all do ) ...
.
How do I correct parent-child relationships in Family Tree?
.
I hope this helps.
