Where is the father from? The child's name was listed as Jorgen. Patronymics would make the surname Christensen, but it is listed in family search as Jacobsen. Which name would be correct in that year?

1731 Fastelavnsøndag (4 Feb.) Christen Jacobsen from Brinche a son name Jørgen. The son would use a patryonmic I believe, making him Jørgen Christensen.

4 February 1731 Christen Jacobsen on Brincke had a son brought to the church who was baptized at home and called Jørgen.
Yes the child should be referred to as Jørgen Christensen. Recently I have been noticing that Danish records are being indexed incorrectly. If the child's last name is not stated, then they are being given the father's last name. In most cases this is wrong. Just keep that in mind when you are looking at indexed records.
