On the 22 of this month [October] were joined in marriage according to Roman rites the honest young man: Michael Händl, legitimate son of the late Conrad Händl, formerly hunter in Bettenhofen, and his wife Clara with the honest and chaste maiden: Barbara, legitimate daughter of Johannes Jander, laborer in Emhof[en] and his wife Margaretha.
Witnesses:
On the part of the groom: Andreas Frilsmayr, a farmer in Bettenhofen
On the part of the bride: Laurentius (Lorenz) Brändtl of Emhofen. My comments:
Bettenhofen is probably "Pettenhof" in Meyers (
), a hamlet about 1 mile south of Emhof. The occupation of Conrad Händl is venatoris (Latin) which means hunter. I misread that word earlier in the birth record of Anna Barbara Jander as senatoris; please correct.
