Different meaning for Weiland in 1761 death record?

last record on the bottom righthand side. This 1761 death record for 1 yr old Catharina Wolff notes her as the daughter of 'Weÿl. Andreas Wolff', yet her father Andreas did not die until much later in 1779. And her father witnesses the record himself as the 'Kindls Vatter', signing with his mark. Would the 'Weÿl' just be a mistake or could it have a different meaning?

Hello @Tom Randolph,
I agree with your interpretation of the word "weÿland" in this record as: former, deceased. I'm not aware of other definitions of this word and a search of Wörterbuchnetz did not help.
Possibly a mistake on the part of the scribe.
Let's see what others think.
