Hell-o Wolf, In 2019 we visited the Staatsarchiv Zürich. They were very helpful and we began collecting Swiss family history records. I know that the Staatsarchiv Zürich has full access to marriage records. Do they have the same access to birth and death records?
Elisabeth Freÿ 1774 - 1816 came from Birr, Aargau. I emailed the archive and was able to get her birth record. FamilySearch says those records are only available onsite. I assume that is true.
Thanks for a beautiful translation!

Agreed - people at the Zürich State Archive are very helpful - another example to follow soon 😉.
To my knowledge they keep all church records of today's canton Zürich - except the records of parishes within (today's) city of Zürich - the latter being kept at the City Archive. All these records (State Archive and City Archive) are (to my knowledge) available online, either familysearch or from the City Archive website.
For canton Aargau very few records are online - see https://www.geneal-forum.com/phpbb/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=24422. Birr doesn't seem to be online.

In either case, Zürich Archive or the Zürich city Archive you can see the register aka the indexed version but to see the actual document one will need to pay a researcher to retrieve the record. Right?
I like the link to the General-Forum on Aargau records. Very helpful. I have ancestors in Wiliberg and in Ottenbach which I have researched. Thanks!!!

What type of record in which canton are you looking for?
Canton Zürich: online - for free !
Canton Aargau: https://www.ag.ch/media/kanton-aargau/bks/kultur/staatsarchiv/bksstar-family-research-en.pdf. One problem is that many of these records have not even been deposited at the State Archive. They have films of all church records (but someone has to visit them to view) - but for Bürgerregister (and the like) you are referred to the Civil Registry Offices. It is definitely not a good idea to pick ancestors in this canton. I don't know how (or even if) the Aargau offices are willing (or able - potential staff problem) to answer enquiries in detail.
Before you decide to pay a professional I would recommend you describe what you know about your Angliker of Birr on https://www.geneal-forum.com/ and ask if by any chance someone else is researching this family and might be able to help.

I have noted your post on https://www.geneal-forum.com/phpbb/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=33991. I have added links to an from the discussion on the Jenta family - so now we have …
"I am looking for information on the parents of Elisabeth Freÿ (1774-1816, wife of Rudolf Jenta) in Birr. Her parents are Rudolf Freÿ (1739-1785) and Anna Schoder (1734-1794). Specifically I'd love to see their birth, marriage and burial/death records. I do have Elisabeth Freÿ's birth record. Any help is much appreciated!"
… which is rather short for discussions on the forum. Let me start with describing the fundamental differences between the familysearch community and Genal-Forum:
The community is what I would describe as a transcription / translation help desk: most threads deal with a single document where transcription help is requested. So as an extreme example "Here's the document - please transcribe" is sufficient for the purpose. I have tried a few times to start a discussion on a family - not in a single case I have received a single reaction - so this obviously doesn't seem to be what community members want or expect.
Genal-Forum is a discussion forum, aiming at discussing families and fostering contact between researchers interested in a given family … "family" being defined by surname and place of citizenship. An indication for this aim is already visible in the topic titles. The main aim is to help visitors - not only the person asking a question, but also other researchers which find a topic e.g. via one of the common internet search engines. As a consequence the optimal question is combined with detailed description of already known information, i.e. not just "I have the birth record" - but either link to it or copy of the important information (full date and where baptised).
Talking of Elisabeth Frey's birth record: do you actually have a copy of the baptismal record - and where did you get it from?
Let's assume I am a forum visitor who has never heard of you and doesn't know anything about your research - what is the impression I get? OK - he's got the birth certificate (didn't exist then - so baptismal record would be better) - giving the names of the parents. But he has also got the vital info on the parents - they will not be from the daughter's baptismal record. Hmmm … he must have all records for the parents as well … so why is he asking for their baptismal, marriage and death records? I'm just confused.
Conclusion: give more info (all you have in the context of your question) and mention the sources (like original church record or Billeter collection). If you have copies of any original records, it would be useful to be able to see them (e.g. upload to your webpage) - if all your info is from the Billeter collection, please, let me know. Then I could suggest a modified question for the forum.

Wolf: This is very helpful. I will look deeper into the General-Forum and see if I can be clearer in what I am looking for and what I have on0
