Translation of a death record
The record in question is #27 for Gesina Lubbering. I can make out some words but not enough to make sense. Can someone read this and tell me what it is saying about her besides her age of 76? I think she died on 18 Feb and was buried on the 21st. I also think her married name is Wellers. Can someone confirm this and add anything else you can make out?
THANKS

The record is for Gesine Lübbering, widow of Joh[ann] Hen[rich] Wellert, a cottager (Kötter). Her residence is
, her age 76 years. The heirs according to the will are Bernard Feldkamp (who also named cottager Wellert) and his wife Anna Hobing(?).
Death date and hour are February 18, 1835, 11 a.m.; cause of death: old age weakness
The last column has no heading, but is probably the date of burial: 21 [February]

Acouple of other questions about this record
- Is a cottager considered a farmer?
- I am not clear on what was meant by Bernard Feldkamp who also named cottager Wellert . Any idea what that means? Also, I do know her husband died about two years before her.

The German word here is Kötter. This is a class of farmers with a small plot of land which normally wasn't enough to provide a living. This is why the cottagers or cotters also worked as craftsmen or as farm laborers on larger farms, see
Partly, the cottages with their land were inheritable or could be passed on by will. This seems to be the case here. The name "Wellert" appears in three columns here: as name of the deceased husband, in the occupation column (Kötter Wellert), and in the heir column. It may be that Wellert is the designation of the cottage which is then also taken as surname by the inhabitant, similar to the "Hofnamen" for larger homesteads (

Thank you, Ulrich! That helps a lot!

Ulrich, I found the death record for Gesina's husband, Henricus Wellers. Please, confirm that I have this information correct: Henricus Wellers, kötter in Köckelwick, age 75. He died on 29 Apr 1833 and was buried on 2 May.
The part I can't make out is what is said after his age. I see Gesina's name and the name of Bernard Feldkamp and wife. But I don't know what it is saying. It probably ties in with the previous record of Gesina's death that you translated above.
Here is the link for Henricus' death [last one on the page] THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

Translation:
Name of the deceased: Henricus Wellers
Occupation: Kötter
Residence: Kockelwick
Age: 75 [years]
Heirs: The spouse Gesina Lubbering as well as Bernard Feldkamp and Anna Hobing daughter-in-law
Date of death: 29 [April 1833], 9 a.m.
Illness: ??
Doctor: yes
Burial: May 2
Comment:
The fact that Anna is called daughter-in-law seems to imply that she was previously(?) married to a son of Henricus; Bernard Feldkamp may be her second husband.

FYI: Henricus Wellers' cause of death as written is possibly: "Wasser" which is likely short for "Wassersucht" = edema.
