Hello, I need assistance in translating this Danish marriage record. I'm trying to discern if the names of the parents for Niels Svensen are listed. Is his father Peder?

His spouse's father's name is given as Niels Willadsen, but I'm interested in tracing the parents of Niels Svensen.

Denmark Marriages, 1635-1916", database, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FKMG-C8R : 18 January 2024), Maria Nielsdr in entry for Niels Svensen, 1816.

Thank you!

The original marriage record is found here: https://arkivalieronline.rigsarkivet.dk/da/billedviser?bsid=423784#423784,78063704 .

There is no name given for the grooms father, but since the groom's surname name is Svensen (Svansen), his father's given name would almost certainly be Sven, Svan or Svend, especially at this time (1816).

Looking at the 1801 Danish census for Hårlev, I think this is the family of your Niels Svensen (b. 1788): https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/cid1212947 . His mother is widow Bodil Nielsdatter (b. 1754).

The previous census for Hårlev in 1787 lists the same people along with the father Svend Andersen. That record is here: https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/cid349275 . Birthdates are off a bit, but that is not unusual for censuses.

So Niels Svensen's father should be Svend Andersen in birth records for Hårlev. Here is his christening record (right-hand page, bottom entry [last 3 lines]): https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-994W-Y76V?i=37&cc=2078555&cat=421539. I don't think that link will work for you unless you change every place where it has "%3A" to ":". This link for the same record in the Danish National Archives should work however: https://arkivalieronline.rigsarkivet.dk/da/billedviser?bsid=151928#151928,25270122 . The date is 26 past Trinity in 1788, so that would be 16 November 1788.
