Your first step should be to purchase a birth certificate for your father.
To order a certificate go to https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/menu.asp
Based on the information you supplied, this looks like the record of his birth

That link is not working for me in using a public account.

That is curious. The link in my original post does not work for me either.
I have reposted the link above and, unless my eyes deceive me, it is identical to my original post. The new one is working for me - at least at the moment!
If it continues to play up, here is a screenshot

Yes, the screenshot (how did you manage to post that - perhaps still possible if you are a moderator / have administrator rights?) shows you have found the right record.
On the URL issue, no - still getting the, "Well this is unexpected…" message upon clicking on the link. I usually prefix my links with "See…" as I understand links often fail to work if placed on a line without any other text!
As you know, there are a number of issues with Community at present - hopefully the vendor will be able to sort out the problems asap.

Interesting about the URL. The second one no longer works for me either.
Comparing the two
The two above https://www.familysearch.org/ark%3A/61903/1%3A1%3AQVQL-Y5WH
The correct one https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVQL-Y5WH
These are identical. The second one currently works for me but it is not exactly the web link I copied. I suspect that it will no longer work once I have posted this comment. [Edit Yes, it has now stopped working]
The difference is the character set %3A, which appears three times in place of a colon :. When I try to paste the version with the colons, the system automatically replaces the colon with %3A. I tried to edit the link but the same thing happened.
I will send this to a higher power.

Any time a URL presents with %3A, it will not work. The Community software corrupts URLs changing colons to %3A.
So a workaround is to hide the URL/link like this. Click on the like this in my previous sentence, and you can view the record.
No, I'm not a higher power.
Testing a different method: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVQL-Y5WHThe 2nd one I managed to click the m dash option to avoid the corruption of the URL. That doesn't always work on a reply
