Selecting Individuals to Copy to Group Trees

My personal FamilySearch tree includes almost 800 living individuals.  Currently, when copying individuals to include in group trees, I have to select individuals one-by-one from a graphical tree. This tree is not expanded, so to ensure all individuals in a branch of the tree are included, I have to go through expanding each branch of the tree, which makes it really easy to miss individuals.

I suggest that options be added to be able to select (1) all descendants of selected individuals, (2) all ancestors of selected individuals (with the option to select all other descendants of those ancestors), and (3) unrelated individuals such as spouses, stepchildren, and adopted children.

I also suggest that the option be given to select individuals from a list (like the person list in a FamilySearch tree), rather than a graphical tree.

You can get to a list version of your Person List by clicking on the Add Person link when you are viewing a tree:

Then click on From My Tree:

In addition, as you are in the COPY FROM MY TREE tool, you can click out to other relatives by clicking through the arrows on the greyed out individuals. When you get out to a cousin that you want to add to your group, click on the check mark and the system will automatically add all the living individuals required to link that person to you.

However, remember that Family Group Trees are intended for close family members to share person incidents and memories from their lives. It is not intended to be a group for all descendants from a distant ancestor. Please read Todd Powell's comment on the scope and purpose of Family Group Trees.
