If a living individual shares memories from an album with others, can those individuals tag deceased ancestors?
I understand HOW to share memories or an album (outlined steps below), but not sure WHAT it allows others to do. The issue at hand is that an individual has uploaded a number of family photos, but needs help from relatives to identify and tag deceased ancestors.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the Memories section
- Sign in to FamilySearch.
- In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click Memories.
- In the drop-down, click Gallery.
- Click the album or memory that you want to share.
- Click Share.
- Select a way to share the memory (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, email, or copy link). To copy or email the URL, follow these steps:
- To copy the URL to share, click Copy. You can then paste the URL into an email message.
- To email the URL, above the web address, click Email. This opens your email for you or opens a list of email applications to choose from. When the email opens, it already contains the URL. Add your message, and send it. Depending on your individual computer settings, this might open a new browser window only. In that case, use the copy option instead.

So far as I understand, anyone can tag any memory with the people in the memory. So, yes, if your relative sends you a link to an album you should be able to click on any of the images and add people tags, even though you did not upload the original image.

Thank you! I could have tested it out for myself but figured there'd be a quick answer to the question. Stay healthy!
