Questions and Translation of Baptism for Johann Gerhard Beckhues
Please translate the above baptism record for Johann Gerhard Beckhues from Legden in 1812. I am also including the link from Matricula. https://data.matricula-online.eu/de/deutschland/muenster/legden-st-brigida/ZR002/?pg=19
I am not sure how to find this same record in Family Search. I have another record for this same child from the Legden baptism records in Family Search. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C3HP-5QYT In this shorter version from the Legden records, it shows the birth at Isingort and the godparents as Johan Gerd Beckhues and Gert Kerkhoff.
I know these two records are for the same child, but I am puzzled as to why the godparents would be different in the two records. Also, typically, the godparents are usually a male and a female, but I think in the longer record, it looks like the godparents are two males.
Why would these two records contradict each other and why would there be two records, some conflicting information, and one record so long? The records I typically see in this area for this time period usually only includes the name and date for the child, the parents, and the godparents. I am so confused. Hopefully with the translation, I might be able to understand what I have not been able to read.
Thank you for your help!
