Hello Everyone,

I am striving to find the birth entry of Elsbeth Andersdotter, my 6th great grandmother, in the above parish in the village of Högnäs on the island of Oland. Elsbeth Andersdotter of the village of Högnäs of the parish of Källa, Kalmar, Sweden married Anders Simonsson on Dom 11 Advent 1732. In the attached file what is the date of the birth and the last name of the father? Anders Eriksson? Dom ?? ?? Epiph?

ttached entry, there is a huge number of witnesses. What is the vocation of the father? In the first sentence of the entry there are some words I don't understand. I see "little daughter and ???? ??????". In the 2nd sentence is the wife referred to as the mother or as a witness?

As anothet aspect, I never did figure out the actual date of the marriage which is found in familysearch.org. Dom 11 Advent 1732. What is that?

The record is a baptism record and gives only the date of baptism, not of the birth. The baptism was on
Dom[inica] 2? post Epiph[ania] = 2nd Sunday after Epiphany, which in 1713 was 15 January. The number 2 is not fully clear. The name of the father seems to be Anders Cnutsson (Knutsson).

The first lines of the record are:

Dom. 2. post Epiph. Christnades Anders Cnutssons i Högnäs lilla dotter och blef kallat Elisabeth. Til Christendomen bar henne hustru Malin Cnutsdotter i Ulfersiö och högby __?.

Translation:

On the 2nd Sunday after Epiphany was christened the little daughter of Anders Cnutsson in Högnäs and was called Elisabeth. She was carried to the baptism by the wife Malin Cnutsdotter in Ulfersjö and Högby __?.

It is unclear to me if Malin is the wife of Anders or someone else; maybe she is a sister of Anders.

Regarding the date of marriage it may be Dom. II Advent which would be the 2nd Sunday in Advent.
