How does a 4th great grandfather with a high score have 8 incorrect children?
I have a great grandfather, John Sutton L18R-QM2. It is documented that he married an Ann Allen. They lived and reared their children in Leire, Leicestershire. They have 9 documented children and a step child for John Sutton (total of 10).
When I looked at him yesterday, he and Ann had 18 children. Some were from different towns in Lancashire. Someone had confused this John Sutton with another in Lancashire that married a Ann Shakelady. I also suspect that not all of the Lancashire children belonged to just this John and Ann. Both couples were born and married about the same time, but were 150 miles apart.
I removed the incorrect sources and children, but how can a score be high with such errors? Is the score just for John himself and not his wife of family?

Thank you for your feedback. This is exactly the kind of info we need to refine the scoring process.
