Another question about Latin terms on christening record

I am seeing the terms "cujus Loco Stetet" [?] when there is more than one godparent listed. It looks like that might mean "in whose place he stands". Was this used when one sponsor might not be able to fulfill responsibilities or is there another explanation?
As always, I appreciate the help and insight of those who volunteer their help here!!!

I take it to mean that the godparent could not make it to the baptism in person so the other person stood in representation for him at the ceremony.

Thank you. That makes sense.
