Question about the induction process during WWII....How did it work?
I have an uncle who was born in Dec 1920 and his brother was born in Apr 1923. The brother born in Apr 1923 was inducted before his older brother. Why? Was there an age limit for those who were inducted first?

There were a variety of factors that were involved in the various draft registrations. Single men usually were taken before married men. Married men without children were usually taken before men with children. In the earliest years, certain skills were exempt or more likely to be drafted.
