Location request

This attached record was previously translated many months ago. Today I located a tree on ancestry for Phillip Lotz. It seems to be a bit messed up but the name of the birthplace was listed as Eaufdorf whereas the translation I received said could not read it. Could you reevalute the town and tell me if Eaufdorf might be the location. I have included the record and the translation for you. (archion does not have Eaufdorf records) Meyersgaz does not have this place either

Greifenstein - on 7 November the shepherd Philipp Lotz, born in [can't read town], single, age 32, and not under the supervision of a father or guardian, was married at home to Katharina Wilhelmina, legitimate daughter of the shepherd Jacob Wallbruch here, is 18 years old and unmarried, up to this time under the supervision of her father, after verbal [can't read] parental permission and three-times proclamation.

Laufdorf is approximately 10 miles southeast of Greifenstein.

Thanks @Robert Seal_1 for solving the handwriting mystery. Here's the translation for the birth record -

On the 8th of November [1787], Elisabetha, wife of Johannes Lotz, nee [Gaule?], was delivered of a son, who was baptized on the 11th of the same month. Baptism witnesses were Philipp Lotz from Braunfels, and Catharina Eleonora, wife of Johann Jacob Lotz from Altenstädten. The child was named Philipp.

The first letter of the town looks like an L to me - compare to the L in Lotz. There is an outside possibility that the first letter could be a B - compare to the B in Bürger in the first and second entries on the page. It's not like any E I've ever seen.

Then the next two letters could be EU because there's that little swoop above the third letter indicating a U. Next is most likely an F.

It's the rest of the letters that are troubling. I just don't think it's "dorf" as suggested in the tree you found. If you look at the first F, it's written from the middle, goes up, then down. Compare this to the last letter, supposedly an F, but starts on a down-stroke, then goes to an upper loop. There are other words in this record with an F - Aufsicht appears twice, Aufgebot appears once, Schäfer appears once. Compare also to the F in Greifenstein, or in Jungfrau in some of the other entries. The F in those words is not the same as the last character in the town name. Also compare to Wallendorf in the second line of the third entry.

I tried all sorts of combinations in Meyers Gaz - Leu*, Len*, Beu*, Ben*, even L*dorf and B*dorf and came up empty.

The only other thing I can think of to try and find another instance of his birth place is to look for land and property records, or citizenship records (Bürgerbuch), possibly also tax records, but I don't think these are available on FamilySearch.

His children were born in Greifenstein and he death record is in Greifenstein. I just spelt Laufdorf in Meyers Gaz and I believe this might be his birth record located on Archion. Trusting I am reading name correctly. Please translate bottom record. Thank you both immensely.
