Found IL death record, can't find on Familysearch?
I found the indexing of my ancestor's Illinois death record on the ILSOS site. No matter what I search, I can't find it on FamilySearch. I need the full transcription to get his pre-USA / birth family info. The ILSOS info is: MCDILLON, WM 1899-12-09 CHICAGO 38 YR U 00013496 COOK . Is it not available yet on Familysearch? I don't live in Illinois (& can't visit in the near future) so I can't access the record for free from the state government archives.
Any suggestions on how I can find this info?

Yes, you will need to order it from the Illinois department of health and it is not available for free. If you read on their web site, Illinois does not release death certs to the public. Thus, FamilySearch won't have them nor will any other collection. Since you are planning to use the death record to obtain information from a foreign country, if I were you I would plan to purchase the certified version of the death certificate if there is a choice.
