One word in 1729 Alsace death record
Any suggestions for the transcription and meaning of the bolded word preceding 'hitzig Kranckh.'? She died 2 weeks after the birth of her 5th child.

I believe the first word is "weg". Compare the stylized letter "g" in that word with that in "hitzig".
... durch Hl. Phr. Anthing zu Gries weg[en] meiner hitzig Kranckheit zur Erd bestattet
... was buried by Holy Pastor Anthing in Gries because of my feverish illness.
Perhaps the local pastor was ill and he notes in the record that the pastor from a neighboring village performed the service.

One remark: The abbreviation "Hl." before names usually means "Hochlöblich", highly laudable, not holy.

@bobgreiner1 : Thanks, you're right! I had taken the loop to be a continuation of the j on ejusdem, but I see now he didn't loop his j's, and the same thing about another pastor doing the funeral is on a couple of other surrounding records.

@Ulrich Neitzel : Thanks, Ulrich -- I was being sloppy and hadn't confirmed it like I should.
