can anyone tell me anything about the photos. It is Heinrich Wolpmann born Brokhuchting, Huchting, Bremen taken 1908-1922. He went to Germany from the US with his family and was caught there during WW1, still being a Germany citizen he was required to serve. The photo back is in German and not sure what it says. Know nothing about his uniform. The last photo of him

Wolpmann, Heinrich WWI Lissner J Brandt, Dresden, Germany.JPG

was taken later and know nothing about it. Do not have back of photo. Any information appreciated.

Not quite sure what response you expect. Obviously you know who is portrayed here. The photos are typical studio photographs from the early years of the last century, the upper one by a photographer named "Sommer" in Harburg, a city just south of Hamburg. The other from "Lissner & Brandt" in Dresden, the capital of Saxony.

If you want to try to get your person's service record, you can try here -

      https://www.bundesarchiv.de/EN/Content/Artikel/Artikel-ausserhalb-der-Navigation/Hinweise-milit-Unterlagen-persbez/benutzen-hinweise-militaerische-unterlagen-persbezogen-en.html

If you're just interested in finding out more about the uniform, you can google "German WWI military uniforms" and you'll get lots of hits to explore, like this one -
