Pattern of records ending with 1930 Census
I have been noticing a pattern lately of records of whole families of my Danish ancestors' ending with the 1930 census. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it possible that the 1940 census hasn't been indexed yet or do I just have a lot of ancestors that have migrated and their birth years weren't recorded and their names were changed when they did? I am definitely not an expert researcher, but I can't find a thing on Family Search or Ancestry. This Eriksen family, for example:
LRC4-KLH
He and his wife's records both end with the 1930 census as well as their six oldest children and five out of the six younger ones. (The one in the middle ends with 1911.)
If there's something obvious I don't know, someone please share with me! Thanks!

The 1940 Census appears not be available on FamilySearch, but it can be searched on MyHeritage: https://www.myheritage.com/research/collection-10706/1940-denmark-census

@Ulrich Neitzel Thank you so much! I have found several members of the family in the 1940 census and hope to find more!
