Lütter birth record from 1801
I am seeking help with the birth information of Eva Elisabeth Leibold. Her record is the second from the bottom on the left-side page.
- In the left margin is the town name of Lütter. Does that mark after it indicate anything?
- Is the date of birth 17 Jul 1801? Just not certain.
- Does this indicate the baptism was the same day?
- The sponsor appears to be Eva Elisabeth Habersackin from Lütter, unmarried, but what is after that?
THANK YOU!

It seems to be an "f:". I suspect it means "femina" = female, girl. Note that the boys have the mark "M." = masculinus = male.

The date is Decimo septimo Majus = 17 May
Does this indicate the baptism was the same day?
...et altero die baptizata est... ...and was baptized the other (=next) day ...
The sponsor appears to be Eva Elisabeth Habersackin from Lütter, unmarried, but what is after that?
...calebs soror matris. ...unmarried sister of the mother.

Thanks, Ulrich... that helps alot. I thought it was July. The page seems to be divided with month headings that are underlined. I noticed that her record was listed under Julius.... missed the "Majus".

I think you are right. What I read as Majus is most probably "hujus", meaning "of this", i.e., the actual month July.

Thanks, Ulrich for the verification.
