Duchy of Oldenburg, Westerstede Parish Church Records
I have not been able to find the church records in FS or Ancestry to validate the birth record of my 2 times great grandfather Friederich Diedrich Eilers PID # KFP3 - TYP. He was born in Westerstede, Oldenburg, Lower Saxony about 1844-46. The only source I have for his and his family's vital details comes from the book "Eilers of Arkansas" by Wilbert F. H. Eilers where he notes that his info came from Westerstede church records. How he accessed them I don't know...he is deceased: https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/23939/images/dvm_GenMono005908-00031-0?ssrc=&backlabel=Return&pId=30
Also there is a family group record I found of him as the child of Eilert Diedrich Eilers from:
There are some discrepancies between the 2 sources.
I think on the home page of the above website if you click on Westerstede on the map it says that the church records are in the St. Peters Lutheran Church in Westerstede.
Also there are two names of researchers who may be able to help me further but I'm not sure how to contact them (I believe that Gerd Janssen is deceased so it may be out dated info)
If anyone has any suggestions of how I can get access to the church records or who to contact I would greatly appreciate the help. Also, I am planning a visit to Oldenburg in the fall and was hoping to see them in person if possible. I believe there are some archives I can visit too in Oldenburg city so any tips on traveling to this part of Germany would also be appreciated.

It looks like Archion has Westerstede Lutheran church records available online. There is a fee to use archion but it's pretty reasonable.

The church books of Westerstede are available on Archion (https://www.archion.de/en/search) but require a paid pass to view the actual digital copies (about 20 Euro for one month access).
Look for "Taufen" (Baptisms) for the records. There is also "Taufen Register" which should be an alphabetical index of the baptized.
