Hello! Could anyone here help me identify the birth location and origin of my 10th Great Grandfather; "Martinus Nicolai Buscherus" I believe he is connected to the Buscherus in Sweden

https://www.geni.com/people/M%C3%A5rten-Buscherus/6000000016294518043 He was a Priest on Åland who died around Ca 1643 in Lemland. I will add more info to the profile shortly that i've found but i'd love to know exactly who his parents were and when he was born etc, any help would be appreciated!

According to Familjer & Gårdar i Lemland, Håkan Skogsjö wrote that Martinus died about 1643 at the prästegård in Lemland which was in Lumparland pastorat. He cited that in Radloff and Strandbergs herdaminne, Martinus Nicolai was listed with the last name Buscherus. It’s unclear if Martinus used the surname Buscherus or not as the name is not shown in the tax records of that time, for example the tithing record of 1630. He does not include any information to indicate where Martinus was born or the names of his parents. There are multiple interesting threads on Anbytarforum about Martinus Nicolai that speculate a connection to other Buscherus families in Sweden but with no solid connection. Given that Martinus Nicolai was born in the late 1500s with the challenges that brings, I would suggest searching the diocese records. Perhaps they show where he studied or mentions previous assignments.

Thank you so much! There was another Buscherus family near Porvoo but they originated after 1630 sometime from what i know... I'll keep on trying no doubt. This is one of those intriguing people you always find some bits and pieces here and there but never anything big. Thank you though! I wasn't aware that he died precisely in Lumparland, was a little skeptical at first. Something might come up one day, just a little waiting game. Buscherus is a variant of the name "Busk" or "Busck" I've been told so his fathers sur name might've been something along those lines if true...
