Translation Request
This is a column heading from Hebron Lutheran Church Madison County VA. That it is a list of confirmation is clear, also the date, but I am having trouble with some of the other words. One of the words seems to be "gegangen" which my dictionary translates as "gone." I must be wrong and will appreciate a full translation. Thanks.

The first column reads - Comunicanten auff den 22 ^Maÿ ersten Sontag nach Trinitatis 1785
Which means - Communicants on 22 May 1785, first Sunday after Trinity
The second column reads, with several abbreviations - Comunicanten die zum ersten Mahl zum H[eiligen] Ab[end] M[ahl] gegangen den 22 Tag Maÿ 1785, auf den ersten Sontag nach Trinitatis an # Zahl 40
Which means - Communicants who took Holy Communion for the first time on 22 May 1785, the first Sunday after Trinity. Count - 40.
And underneath, you can just make out the word Alter = age. Since there are these two columns, I think the first column refers to the parish members in general, and the second column refers to the confirmands. It's hard to tell with just a snippet view.
