OK I entered the family, parents and children, but I didn't link them to Walter. He could be the father of Joel but I find no source for it. So I'm not linking them. Walter was from Long Island, NJ which isn't far from Middlesex county, NJ and a lot of people went back and forth I think. His mother's name was Martha and he named the sampler maker Martha. but I don't see much else to connect them. If you want to like them, go ahead. I wish I had the book referenced in the Ancestry tree, but I don't. and I don't feel like looking more. The ID for Joel Smith is G79T-QDH
I tagged the entire family. There was one additional girl that didn't fit on the sampler I guess. I found her on two census and attached what sources I could find. The church marriage record for the parents did not include their parents names unfortunately and I cannot find deaths.
