newly discovered family ancestor
I have a newly discovered family ancestor via a baptismal record in an Irish parish document register. I'm looking for more information to find out about this person. Where would you suggest I go next? I've tried the WIKI with no success.
thanks!

Good morning, @Katherine Alice Sparks and congrats on finding a new ancestor!
Can you share a little more info? What county and what year? Can you share the URL of the record? If you found the record as an index on FamilySearch, images are available on several other sites, and more helpful information is likely to be found in the image - baptismal sponsors or wedding witnesses, for example.
What is available and where we look depends on the details. There may be more that we can find easily, or it may be a tough dig. If the record is a baptism for your ancestor, we'll want to look for baptisms of siblings and marriage of the parents, to build out the family.
I look forward to learning more so that I can try to help.

You could also consider posting the question to the Ireland research group
There are a wider range of Irish resources linked in that group.
