Merchant Navy seaman from Freetown Sierra Leone

Hello. I am new to this site and not sure if you help, but here we go. How do I go about looking for the family of a man who joined the Merchant Navy during WW11 and worked very hard as a fireman / trimmer in the engine run . Here's what I know so far

Name Thomas Nimineh Davies born 05.01.1915 from Freetown height 5ft 9''

Father called Thomas Davies was a Justice of the Peace

Mother called Tanneh Fah lived at 22 Cole Street Freetown

Sister called Farah lived at 7 Louis Street Freetown

Sister called Anne lived at 22 Cole Street Freetown

Brother called Daniel address unknown

If you can help in any possible way I would be very grateful.

    Thank you for your post in Africa Research. To be able to help you, there are a few key things missing in your post.

    1. Always include a Person ID in Family Search for the person you are searching.
    2. Share the source of the information you know, and attach it to the Person ID of the person.
    3. Include the location with as much detail as you know. There are Freetowns in 4 African nations.

    Ask the group any question, and we will try and point you in the right direction.

    Hello, how do I create a person id in family search, and secondly "sources of information" does that include wedding and death certs and Merchant Navy records etc.
