Below is a marriage record for Bela Vasvary’s 2nd marriage (item 678). Does it anywhere on this record show he was married before? Is he listed as a widower? His 1st wife was Zsuzsanna Szabo but I have not been able to find a death record for her.

    It says widower/widowed for both groom and bride.

    Groom: Béla Vasváry (wid.), cantor, Reformed, born 10 Nov. 1863, res. Nagyszalonta.

    Parents: Ferencz Vasváry, Sára Böddi.

    Bride: Mária Nagy (wid.), Reformed, born 7 April 1884, res. Budapest I. Ménesi-road 74.

    Parents: the late Terézia Nagy.

    Witnesses: Ernő Schey, Budapest I Ménesi-road 74; Béla Vasváry, Budapest II Fő-utca [Main street] 57.
