How to make the FS-to-Ancestry interface is seamless?
When helping members research in Ancestry via the link on a FS person page, sometime at Ancestry they have to sign in instead of seamlessly going straight to Ancestry search results. The members already had Ancestry accounts fortunately. This happens occasionally to me as well, though most of the time the interface is seamless. Sometimes it even happens in the FHC when signed in through the Portal.

I think it depends on whether or not you are currently logged in to Ancestry as well as FamilySearch when you are working. Once I am logged in to both, I do not have a problem.

Ancestry doesn't close your login after it has been inactive for a while. So once you are logged in, it should click right through. That said, if you have updates to your computer it could log you out and you would need to log in again. Also, the way it stays logged in is by using cookies, so if you have all cookies blocked, the computer won't be allowed to stay logged in. You can make exceptions to the cookies so that it will save cookies from specific sites, like FamilySearch or Ancestry.
