1869 census translation
Hello, I'm back to research after a longer break. Could someone translate this census page for me? House No. 56 in Nagy Saró. I am mostly interested in the middle family unit of my ancestor Josef Kiss (who apparently wasn't home?) his mom, step-dad and half sisters. But the whole page looks like one big Varga family so if anyone had been willing to translate the whole lot, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance!

It's not clear that this Josef Kiss had any relation to the Varga and Bal(l)ai families enumerated here: the crossed-out occupation is "servant", and the only other information is that he was away for over a month continuously, I can't figure out where. The remarks column appears to read "Bodon Bars", which is either "in Bod, Bars county" or "Bodon, Bars county" -- but the gazetteers list neither a Bod nor a Bodon in said county.
(Third possibility is a sloppy "in Bodó, Bars county", but there's no Bodó listed, either. [Sloppy because missing diacritic.])
1.1. Sándor Varga, male, born 1840, RCath, married, occupation day-laborer, mode of employment independent, birthplace Nagy Saró, residency local, present over one month continuously, can read.
2. Julianna Garai, female, 1839, RCath, married, housekeeper, independent, Nagy Saró, local, present, can read.

4. János, male, 1868, ditto/blank, local, present.

5. Katalin Ballai, female, 1863, ditto/blank, Veszele, local, present, cannot read

The preceding and following pages say that the house basically had two rooms and one shared kitchen, and they had no livestock.

Thanks, Julia! I can see there is nothing indicating relations to Josef but I know for sure Maria Varga had two sons from her previous marriage. Older Janos and younger Josef Kiss. On her marriage record to Josef Ballay she is noted to be a widow of their father as well. I found Janos in the same village with his new wife. Josef got married in 1870 (in the same village!) so I thought he was still living with his mom in 1869. Apparently, he was somewhere else. Maybe he was a servant somewhere else? Thank you again for the translation!
