Swedish birth_translation.Göteborgs Garnisonsförsamling
1) What is the word after 1886? 2) Does this information indicate that Anders Birger Holm was the father, or just that their marriage legitimized the child's birth (Anders and Emma married 20 Sept 1885)? 3) Was Emma Lovisa Holms an illegitimate child or is the äkta barn referring to the child (Bertha)? 4) Göteborgs Garnisonsförsamling_is this a military parish? Thanks in advance!

Hi Staci,
The word after 1886 is "såsom" and it means "as". What the birth record is saying is that on 1 March 1886 Bertha Hildur Emelina was legitimized as Anders Birger Holm's and his wife Emma Lovisa Holm's legitimate child. The birth record lists both parents as "okänd = unknown", but Savannah Larson (here in the FamilySearch Library) is certain that they are the actual biological parents and went to the trouble to legitimize the child to ensure rights of inheritance. The mother's age is 18 and in the following household record, Bertha's mother is 18 years old when Bertha is born.
The word "äkta" is referring to the child (not the mother) and the child is "legitimate".
Looking in the indexed household records in Arkivdigital, this record shows that Bertha is the daughter of Anders Birger Holm and Emma Lovisa Bergman(?) (lines 19-21): https://app.arkivdigital.se/volume/v27581?image=104&page=891.
Göteborgs Garnisonsförsamling is a military parish, though, I don't believe that all people in the parish were in the military.
