Have you contacted others who have contributed information to the family? I've found some success reaching out to others who may be researching the same people.
Ancestry.com has some Minnesota State Census' that could be helpful.
I see the 1930 census attached to Louise's husband says he's widowed. So, Louise probably died before then.

Hi Linda.
Is it possible that Louise was born in MN to German parents? Is it also possible Louise was a middle name?
I found a 1920 census for a Regina Johnson who is living with her uncle, John Theis (LYHD-9CS). He had a sister named Mary L Theis (LYH8-BJD), whose records are only documented to 1895. This could be a different Regina, but John's family tree doesn't currently show any niece with the surname Johnson.
I also found a 1905 Minneapolis census with a Louise Theis. Math Theis (G72F-PWV) is recorded farther down from her, who appears to be a brother to John and Mary L Theis.
I'd link to the census records directly, but the links don't seem to be working. The census records are linked with the brothers, though. Anyway, this could be a reach, but it also might be worth looking at. :)
