As you probably know, adoption records are often sealed. However, you may be able to find out information on her family if she does a DNA test. She should have DNA matches that would be her biological relatives.

Individuals who are adopted must submit an Adoptee's Application for Noncertified Copy of Original Birth Record. Eligible applicants include the adopted individual and the lineal descendants of the adopted individual. No other individual, including adopted parents or birth parents, will be considered eligible.https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/certificates/Pages/Adoptee.aspx#:~:text=If%20an%20adoption%20has%20not,Adoption%20Information%20Registry%20(PAIR).

@LaurieShortlidge Pennsylvania is one of the twenty-four states that have sealed adoption records. If you are an adoptee and are seeking additional information regarding birth parent(s), you can contact the Pennsylvania Adoption Information Registry (PAIR). The Pennsylvania Adoption Information Registry (PAIR) is a medical and social history database maintained by the Department of Human Services for adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth relatives who would like to share or obtain medical or social history about themselves or their birth relatives. I hope this helps.
