Please!
When asked of possible duplicates combine them. ASK from the country`s own people if you are not sure! In Groups, you can find Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Dannish groups. Yes they are meant for those speaking the language, but some questions like joining two persons may be best for those who work in that country. There are so many doubles, triples triples of persons in FS! There are some reasons why this happens:
- People do not check for doubles.
- FS itself makes many doubles: when they find many children's sources (to the same parents) they write parents (and children) anew each time and do not check them for doubles.
- You miss letters æøåäö; Kaapa is quite something else than Kääpä. Not using the correct letters makes even the new Nordic researchers doubt the joining.
Combining IS difficult. I have made many mistakes with that myself as there are same-named women who marry same-named men! We have now so many in the tree that we have to become more accurate when checking for combining, we need to check better.
