These farms are the same. Norway had "matrikkel" numbers for individual farms. Several times they overhauled the numbering system. However, you can still trace a farm from early on to modern times through the numbering system. Sometimes this can connect the alternate spellings.
In 1838 Ljosdal was changed from the "gammelt" number 138, to the "nytt" number 42.
In 1886 Josdal was changed from the "gammelt" number 42 to the "Gårds" number 48.
This connects the two. As far as the other jurisdictions go, Lister og Mandals was changed to Vest Agder in 1919 and Tonstad was split from Bakke in 1849. These are the same farms just with a different spelling. In fact, on some maps it is also written Gjosdal.
