I am in hopes of getting this translated. My Italian is rusty and am having a hard time understanding parts of this record. I truly appreciate the help, and will be offering my help in the future when I become more fluent with understanding of these records and Italian Genealogy.

    Maile L,

I truly apologize for the mistakes I made. I truly hope this does not prevent me from getting a translation. I am a complete newbie, yet I can promise I will not make the same mistake twice. Thank You

FamilySearch has some great helps out there for understanding Italian civil records:

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Italy_Civil_Registration

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/italian-indexing-resources

BYU has a good training guide for deciphering the script:

    https://script.byu.edu/italian-handwriting/introduction

    For this document:

    15 Mar 1881, Sciara

Groom: Isodoro Esposito, 22, peasant born / residing in Sciara, son of deceased Salvatore and of living Felicia Bulfamante

Bride: Marina Romano, 22, peasant born / residing in Sciara, daughter of deceased Filippo and of living Marina Poretta

    Both spouses are single.

    Marriage allegati available here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89M8-94VW?i=414&wc=MDB8-9Z9%3A245877001%2C245968401&cc=1947613

It includes copies of the birth records of the spouses as well as the death record of the groom's father.

It's a copy of the marriage publication filed in Palermo on 14 Apr 1893 (#168). And the handwriting is atrocious.

Groom: Stefano Spagnuolo, age 40(?) son of deceased Antonino and of deceased Vincenza Dolce, born in Polizzi Generosa 14 Nov 1852

Bride: Elena Figlia, age 28, daughter of deceased Salvatore and of living Isidora(?) Anselmo, born in Mezzojuso 13 May 1864

    Both spouses living in Palermo

According to the Palermo marriage index, they married 24 Oct 1893. But the index also says Stefano's father is Gioachino.

    Cousin Vinny,

Thank you from the bottom of my Heart. I've been straining my eyes trying to define the handwriting.
