having trouble finding relatives husband
I have hit a brick wall trying to find my great grandmothers last husband. The information I have is
My Great Grandmother: Ann Ethel Roberts (other last names in order from birth: Gabriel, Chambers, Mills, Crouch, Roberts)
Birth: Tulsa, Ok 1900, Death: 1998 Kalamazoo, Mi
His name: William C Roberts
Birth year: (aprox) 1904
Death year: either 1968 or 1973 I know he is (or is supposed to be) entombed at a mausoleum, I am assuming in San Jose, Ca., because he did not want to be buried. She was supposed to be buried next to him but that never happened, she is buried in Kalamazoo Mi. I found a relatives family tree on Ancestry that has his death and burial in Kalamazoo Mi. but I think that is wrong because she always talked about wanting to be brought back to California where William was entombed.
Place they lived together: Santa Clara County, Ca or San Jose, Ca
His occupation was a police officer and My great grandma bought a hotel in San Jose that they ran together. I do not know the name of the hotel but my mom remembers visiting in the 50's or 60's.
She divorce John Leon Crouch Feb 13 1947 but I do not know when she married William, it seems like it had to be in the 50's or 60's.
If someone can help me or point me in the right direction would be appreciated. I have really enjoyed the "hunt" for information about my ancestors.
Thank you,
Tonya Jones

Hi, I've reached out to a friend who may have some suggestions for you:
Have you checked the California marriage records to see if you find Ann Ethel and William and see if they possibly married in Santa Clara, CA https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/How_to_Find_California_Marriage_Records
I would also reach out to the person on ancestry and see what information they could give you as to the death and burial of William. Did William live in California or MI. That is a big key there as it would cost to ship his body to California if he died in MI. Why, if your grandmother was living in California was she buried in MI? Way too many holes. Hearsay in family holds little to what happened and where a person was buried. If your grandmother was buried in MI, if you know the cemetery, you could always contact them and see if he is buried with her. That's not much help, but maybe it's a start.
