Pfäffikon ZH - Parish Census - 1695 - Strehler - origin
At the URL below is the page from this census that shows the Hans Jacob Strehler family. They do not appear to be originally from the Pfaffikon Parish because they do not appear in any of the previous Pfaffikon census's. There are notes in the census after his name and at the bottom of the entry for the family. I need help to read those notes to see if it may tell where the family came from. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

"Ist .... jahrs von Wald hieher zogen."
I am not sure about the second word - but meaning is clear: he moved here (Pfäffikon) previous year (possibly several years) from Wald ZH.
Jacob Strehler and Maria Egli (standardised spellings) actually got married in Wald on 11.05.1669.
The family stayed on - there are still Strehler listed as citizens of Pfäffikon today.
"Ein wol informierte Haushaltung."
A well informed (meaning educated) household.

As you are researching in Pfäffikon and now also in Wald, I thought I point you to a few families already discussed in the Geneal-Forum:
Guyer von Ottenhausen (Pfäffikon ZH)
Just have a look, if you like (reading is free, i.e. without registration). I am not going to predict that you will find interesting connections - but you never know 😉. Most contributions may be in German - but English is fine on the forum - just in case you decide you want to contribute, e.g. ask questions.
Best regards Wolf
