Help translating this Baptism record from Czech to English https://digi.ceskearchivy.cz/5678/111/189
I have worked to read and translate this parish record of my 2nd great uncle, Joseph Vaskovsky, born 19 August 1857 in Kojakovice. Could you help fill in the parts I cannot read or translate?
Father: Thomas Waskowsky, farmer, of Kojakovice #20, legitimate son of the deceased Janus? Waskowsky _____ ___ Grickve? of Kojakovice #20 and of the deceased mother Teresie born Svek? _________ daughter of Wlsovice? #4. ____ _____ .
Mother: Rosina legitimate daughter of Witie? Perkaus Grickve? of Kramolina #13 and Marie? born Pavase? farmer's daughter? of Lvirwoluifr? #5.
Address: Kojakovice #20. ___ Trebon.
Godparents: Lukir (Luke?) Jinove? farmer of Lizice? #2. Godmother his wife? _____ Priest's signature
Midwife and address.
I have looked up the place names on GenTeam with no confirmation of the spelling. I've tried checking maps, but haven't found anything close to the spelling on the maps either. Definitely, help is needed on the place names and some of the relatives names.
Thank you for being willing to help.
Sincerely,
Betty Heath

I worked on this yesterday but didn't finish. This morning your link will not work. Please post it again. I could not make everything out. For the surnames I would look in the indexes available as they tend to write the names better. Note that Thomas is written Tomas.

Mother: Rosina legitimate daughter of widow Pascal (some form of it) Grickve? of Kramolina #13 and Marie? born Pavase? farmer's daughter? of Lvirwoluifr? #5.
Address: Kojakovice #20. Okr.(okres) Trebon.
Godparents: Lukas S___ farmer of Lizuice #2, Rosina his wife. Godmother his wife _____ Priest's signature
Midwife and address.

Thank you, Betseylee, for working out some of the difficult handwriting and words. Here is the link again. I hope it works. Let me know if I need to repost a new query.

I have more experience with the German & Latin records in the Bohemian towns further northwest of this area, but I gave the Czech a try. I took what Betseylee had already done and tried to add to that a bit. Hope it may be helpful!

Thank you, Betseylee and Stephanie for your invaluable help! It is so wonderful to have four other eyes looking at the same record. I agree that the mother's mother and father are both from Kramolina. It's so interesting that I could recognize the first place, but not the second as the same town! It really helped to have both of you go over the translation and add to it. I cannot thank you enough! I can now put the translation on Family Search and Ancestry with confidence that it is more correct.
You are doing a great work!

You are welcome. Thank you for adding this to FamilySearch Family Tree. It will save others lots of time and then they can concentrate on earlier generations. You could even add an image of the record to "Memories".

Is Wita as a given name the same as Vit and a form of Vitus and Wido?

I always like to put the record in memories so I and others can refer to it. It’s like putting the census records up. They are easy to refer to.
Thank you for the service you do. I have other Czech records I am looking at. Of course, the more recent ones are easier to read. I am making a map of the village when I come across names in easy to read records, in order to compare the names of households in earlier records that are much harder to read, like this one was. It’s interesting to see who the neighbors were and their relationship to the Vaskovsky family.
I am grateful for GenTeam and Mapy.cz. They are great helps! I’m also using websites with name lists and word lists. It’s time-consuming, but the Wiki and other websites are extremely helpful. I’m grateful for the time I had in the FHC in SLC. The experts taught me so much and I refer to the notes they made and websites they suggested and others I’ve found. It’s so awesome we can do this work from home with help from wonderful people like you who are willing to tackle old documents.
I can never thank you enough. I have lots of names and more records are coming up from that village that I may need help with. I hope you don’t tire of requests from me. It will be for a limited period of time, though, as I will exhaust the extent of the records (hopefully in this life.)
I just got an email from you and I can’t see all of it without leaving this message. I will answer that one right away.

I think it’s Vitor from what I’ve seen in other records.

I am also glad that you are trying to translate it first yourself and then posting it. It will help you if you continue in this practice.

Thank you for that feedback. I want to get better and that helps me know if I’m on the right track. I am used to the spellings of the names in the past from other records, and I just need the help on the unknown names and places, etc.
