Iphone SE : IOS 16.5.1 : Cannot create group
Background:
I updated my familysearch app on the iphone. Version 4.5.12 -- 111MB
Goal:
Create a Family Group using the Iphone
Result:
Cannot create a group. It appears the app lets me key in the text information as well as to click the two check boxes to indicate I have read and agree to terms. But the slide up virtual keyboard stays on the screen and I don't have a way to indicate I'm ready to move to the next step. No continue button, Next button, or hitting Return or enter.
App seems to be waiting for additional information to be keyed into the Family Group Rules text area. Like its missing a 'commit' when I went to the checkbox.
Neither of the screens below needs a virtual keyboard and the bottom screen needs a 'continue' or 'accept' or 'next', unless you are automatically committing the checkboxes and sending me to the family group sheet.

I was able to create a family group using the FS FT app. Is there a way that you can make your text size smaller? When you are ready to create the group the "Save" at the top right will turn blue.

You need to scroll up and make sure that "allow this group to share ordinances is checked" also

Font size does not make a difference.
The virtual keyboard stays up, the save button in the upper corner never turns blue.
I have no ordinances to share ... not a church member at this time. Ergo, no ordinance toggle to change.

I tried adding a picture.
I tried being verbose with all the fill in the blanks (group name, group description, group rules).
I tried deleting and adding a new group from scratch while using the smallest font available.
Save button never turns blue.
Checkboxes are checked but still have a large great box around each of them.
Virtual keyboard never goes away once it slides into place.

iPod Touch (7th gen). iOS 15.7.8, Family Tree app version 4.6.12.
Looks to be a problem with the ordinance check box.
Filling out the form to create a group:
Likewise cannot save the group.
Unless I click the top check box:
Which is not supposed to be a required field and is not required in the desktop version. This looks like a bug in the current version of the app that is making the ordinances check box required instead of optional even if that check box does not display at all.

Which explains why I was confused. Since I'm not a church member, I never see the ordinance box.
Nice find Gordon.

@Isaac Alan Dunn Since you are involved in @bekasu 's other conversation, I wanted to make sure you saw this half of it that shows why he cannot save a new group using the iphone app. The app is requiring everyone to check the optional ordinance sharing box, even people with public accounts who are not presented with the box.
(@bekasu Thanks for the compliment, but it was you that found the problem. Great testing work on your part!)

@Gordon Collett @bekasu Thanks to both of you for helping expose this issue. I will create a ticket for the appropriate team.

I tried logging out and back in, but have the same original group create on the PC ... there are no 'terms' like there were last week.
Today:
Last week: -- had wonky resolution to variables / css to the pc screen (but looked correct on PC). after reporting this, a few hours later this was gone and everything reverted back to the look up above as if I was no longer in the test group.

@bekasu, it looks like your PC has reverted to having the experiment turned off. My only suggestion is to try going to the help page (https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/family-group-tree-pilot/family-group-trees-pilot-help-and-learning) and clicking the "Turn on the code" link again.
(It took me until late this afternoon to find that link, after multiple plaintive emails to Todd.)

@Julia Szent-Györgyi welcome to the group! Where did you hear about it?
But back to the question. Staring at this a bit more, I realized the actual problem. The mobile app is completely missing the:
check box. If it were there, then it could be checked and the Save button would activate.

"Welcome to the group! Where did you hear about it?" Um, Todd Powell sent me an invitation by email? As I said, it took me all weekend and then some to figure out how to turn the feature on, and I haven't done much with it yet.

Nice to hear. I accidentally found it in the listing of new groups then requested entry and access to the testing.

@Gordon Collett I noticed that bug in your screenshots. I included it in my ticket to the iOS team yesterday! :)

Typically one of the hardest things to see is something that should be there but is not there.
