I'm looking for my great great grandfather Rajmund Raubal who I believe would have been born around 1880. My records show that he lived in Blagordovac, Croatia as an adult. I'm having trouble finding him in this area. I also have other family lines that were born in Kakasd, Tolna, Hungary and moved to Blagorodovac, Croatia. His wife is Ana Schneider and his daughter is Wilhelmina Roth. Does anyone have any idea on how I might find this person? I've looked in FamilySearch, Ancestry, and My Heritage without success.

Hi, according to the 1913 gazetteer, the Roman Catholic church records for Blagorodovac were in Dezanovac, but FamilySearch doesn't have them in their catalog. You might try the Virovitica church records.

Some birth registries are listed in the State Archives in Bjelovar, which includes records for Blagorodovac and Dezanovac. At the link below, you can see what they have in the archive in terms of registry collections (birth, death, marriage), most of which has already been microfilmed in Croatia in the last 20-25 years:

I asked this question recently on ancestry message board:

"You can find RC church records for Blagorodovac through Gaj RC church records. Blagorodovac coverage is from 1865-1879. Starting in 1880, residence of Blagorodovac went to church in Dezanovac and as you found out there are no microfilmed church records for Dezanovac. Uljanic is also covered by Gaj church records. Dezanovac entries can be found in Gaj and Daruvar Church records until January 1880.
