Ancestry DNA for person with dementia
A friend has had a family member with dementia take a DNA test. Ancestry insisted that the results could only be posted to the dementia person's email and that the person ordering and paying for the test could not access the results. Now that the results have been posted, they are not available to the family. Ancestry has NOT been helpful during chats or phone calls. Does anyone in this FS community have any advice? As you can imagine, my friend is desperate. Any advice will be gratefully appreciated!
Thank you

So I presume no one in the family has access to the family member's email either? You will need that, so I leave it to you to figure out how to gain that access. (Hint: "forgot password"). Then, Ancestry (like ALL web sites) also has a forgot password function that works with the email address of the family member's Ancestry account. If you have access to her email, you can reset the Ancestry password to gain access to her account. My mother did her DNA for me, and she never (EVER) logged in to Ancestry. My brother did it all with me using her email account. Then she agreed to let me manage her DNA test, and my brother and I did all that through her email for her.

Gail Swihart Watson, thank you very much. I knew there must be a way to think through the problem. I will let my friend know. She will be very grateful!
Thank you again,
