Village Name
Can someone please help me with the translation of the village name on this Hungarian birth record. I do not have the link for this record only the image.
It is the first record on the page and shows the birth of Janos Szilagyi with his parents Istvan Szilagyi and Maria Szilagyi. I know this birth took place in Csany, Abauj-Torna, Hungary now know as Cana, Kosice, Slovakia. When you look at the parent's place of residence it says it is Hernadcsany. Why is the word "Hernad" placed in front of the village name Csany and what does it mean.
Thank You

Number 61. Entered 1 July 1907, born 23 June 1907.
Child: János, boy, Reformed [Calvinist]
Parents: István Szilágyi, day-laborer, Reformed, age 31; Mária Szilágyi, Reformed, age 28; residence Hernádcsány.
The Hernád was the local river, and it was added to the placename to disambiguate it from the eleven other places in Hungary named Csány. (The one in Heves county was the one that got to keep plain "Csány" for its name.)
