translation assistance on 1739 Neuhard
In the left column what is the month for the year written 1815 25th gbr? fourth record from top. Could you translate this record for me?
Would you also translate the top baptism of the Carl Ludwig Kling child? I will need it at a later time when I focus on this family.
Thank you very much.

Here's the translation -
Greifenstein - on 3 June both the married couple Wilhelm Neuhardt and his wife Anna Gertruda had baptized a son who was born on ? May. Godparents were Johannes Martin and Conrad Hohn the younger, Maria Elisabetha, Joh. Wilhelm Kling's wife, and also Anna Elisabetha, Peter Veit's surviving legitimate daughter. The child was named Johann Conrad.
Margin note - died 28 October 1815
Notes - I couldn't make out the birth date - it looks like 1 May, but that seems like a really long time between birth and baptism. All the others on that page are between 2-10 days.
With regard to 8ber in the death date, this is a common abbreviation for the month - think Octo as in 8, then the ber ending. You'll also see 7ber=September, 9ber=November, and Xber=December. Older records may use bris instead of ber as the ending after the month number.

Thank you for the translation. Kindly asking if you would Please look over the margin note-- the day looks like 25 and not 28. Also I have searched to find an October month of death. Is it possible the abbreviation could be 9ber for the month of November? The death record translated this morning is the only one I can find for this Johann Neuhard name (25 November 1815)
Greatly appreciate your willingness to assist me in my constant requests.

Sorry, it's the 25th, not the 28th. As to the month, I'm pretty sure it's 8ber, not 9ber. Look at the 9 in the year at the top of the page, or at the 9 in the record two below this one - definitely not a 9ber for this record. Having said that, it's quite possible that the death date you found is correct and the notation here is simply clerical error.

I just noticed that you had also asked for the Kling translation, so here it is -
Greifenstein, on 10 May both the married couple Carl Ludwig Kling and his wife Elisabetha Christina had baptized a daughter who was born on the 4th of the same month. Godparents were Philippina, daughter of Mayor [G???], Maria Margaretha daughter of the [?]master Kling, and also Peter Augustus [Schortzer?]. The child was named Maria Philippina.

I am going to go with it being a notational error as I feel my search has been quite thorough. Also I appreciate the date correction and the Kling translation.
Have a wonderful day Sylvia.
